...Hello and welcome! I am the sixth grade homeroom teacher at Archbishop Borders School, in addition to teaching Language Arts, Social Studies, and Spanish. In keeping with our mission, I believe that every student attending Archbishop Borders School is entitled to an excellent Catholic, academic experience which develops the uniqueness of each student and challenges them to reach their full, individual potentials.
Developing my students' literacy, their ability to "read the word and the world", is the driving force behind the classes I teach, whether they be language arts, social studies, or Spanish. My goal as a teacher is to meet my students where they are, challenge them to be critical consumers of content and culture, and help them recognize the importance of being critical readers and writers. This website is designed to help my students, and the adults at home, learn what is needed to be successful in my classes. I will post helpful resources, tools and activities that you can use to review, reinforce, and further your reading, writing, social studies, geography, and Spanish skills. Welcome aboard!
